Hue Lab Art Education Team

Our Story

Hue Lab was founded with a simple belief: every person deserves access to quality art education. What began as a small weekend workshop has grown into a thriving community of students, teachers, and families united by a love of creativity. We serve learners of all ages — from kindergarteners picking up a brush for the first time to adults rediscovering a childhood passion.

Frequently asked questions

What ages do you teach?

We run four age-based programs: Little Explorers (5–7), Creative Alchemists (8–10), Master Creators (11+), and Seasonal Workshops for ages 8 and up during school breaks. Programs are grouped by age rather than skill level, so there is no "behind" and no "ahead."

Do we need to bring our own materials?

No. All materials are included and provided in the studio — paper, paint, brushes, clay, and mixed-media supplies. Everything we use is non-toxic and age-appropriate.

Can we try a class before enrolling?

Yes. Ask for an assessment and a teacher will arrange a one-to-one session with you before you commit to a course.

Where are you located and when are you open?

We are at 123 Art Street, Seattle, WA 98101. Studio hours are Mon–Fri 3 pm – 8 pm and Sat–Sun 9 am – 6 pm.

How do I see my child’s work?

Enrolled students get a portfolio on the site. Sign in to view your child’s uploaded artwork, or browse the public Gallery to see a selection of student work from our classes.
